Not only do we have a spear lord in Algimas, who has the unique class of Captain, but we are actually a dark mage! Definitely makes for a unique pair of starting units.And the starting map is pretty simple. Enemies include 2 soldiers, a pirate, an unseen mercenary just one tile below the image. The enemy leader is the mercenary right at the top of the screen!Oh I could get use to being a dark mage. Also nice sprite colours, but nothing unique, typical dark mage.Algimas naturally finishes off the merc, however look at this sprite! It looks awesome, and has a nice colour pallete!And we get our first level up of the game! Not bad at all, interesting stat distribution. Of course I have no idea about the growths but having played stats where the first level up was just HP, I’m not going to complain about this.And this is the first boss we fight.
There is also a bonus given for the difficulty you clear the game on. So, now I just have the ROM version, and I'm using it with the Virtual Boy Advance Emulator, but I really don't care to play through it fairly.
